Ivory Coast Wins 34th African Cup of Nations
In an exciting final match of the 34th African Cup of Nations organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Nigeria and the host country, Ivory Coast, faced off. The match, held at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, ended with a 2-1 victory for Ivory Coast.
Nigeria took the lead in the first half with a goal from William Troost-Ekong in the 38th minute. However, Ivory Coast fought back with goals from Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller in the 62nd and 81st minutes, respectively, to secure their victory.
This win marks the third time that Ivory Coast has claimed the Africa Cup of Nations title, previously winning in 1992 and 2015.
