Kazakhstan and Turkey Enhance Security Cooperation
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler met on September 11 in Astana to discuss cooperation in security, according to reports from Akorda.
During the meeting, Tokayev expressed his satisfaction with the progress of relations between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, emphasizing the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation and partnership. He also extended his best wishes to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Güler, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to deepening ties with Kazakhstan based on trust and mutual support. He also praised Kazakhstan’s efforts in addressing regional and international issues.
The discussions between President Tokayev and Minister Güler highlight the ongoing collaboration between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, showcasing a commitment to enhancing security cooperation and strengthening diplomatic relations.
