Kazakhstan Appoints Permanent Representative to TRACECA Commission
Almaz Aisin Appointed Head of Kazakh Transport Ministry Permanent Representation in TRACECA Commission
On July 9, the Kazakh Transport Ministry announced the appointment of Almaz Aisin as the head of its permanent representation in the TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) Intergovernmental Commission’s permanent secretariat. This decision was outlined in a draft government resolution.
Aisin brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served on the transport and infrastructure advisory committee of the Eurasian Economic Commission. He has also held various positions at the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Transport.
The TRACECA program spans across 14 countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. In Kazakhstan, the corridor begins at the Dostyk/Altynkol station, passing through Moiynty and Beineu before reaching the ports of Aktau and Kuryk in the western part of the country.
This appointment underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and cooperation within the TRACECA region. Aisin’s leadership is expected to further strengthen the country’s participation in the commission and contribute to the development of transportation infrastructure in the region.
