Kazakhstan Showcases its Academic Potential at the Bett Show in London
Kazakhstan is making history by presenting a national pavilion at the prestigious Bett Show in London, marking the first time in 40 years that the country has participated in such a significant international education exhibition. The Bett Show, also known as the British Educational Training and Technology Show, is taking place from Jan. 22-24 and brings together leading figures in the education industry from around the world.
The Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education has revealed that the country’s pavilion at the Bett Show is focused on showcasing Kazakhstan’s development as a regional academic powerhouse. With a dynamic educational environment that is attracting over 30,000 international students, Kazakhstan has become a hub for learning opportunities. The country has also established doctorate courses and engaged in extensive research collaborations with major foreign universities.
Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek presented the Study in Kazakhstan project at the exhibition, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s efforts to strengthen its position as a regional academic hub. Nurbek highlighted the establishment of academic campuses by leading British universities, such as Coventry University Kazakhstan, as a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education and promoting internationalization in higher education institutions.
The national pavilion at the Bett Show features six leading universities from Kazakhstan, along with branches of Coventry University Kazakhstan and Heriot-Watt University. The Kazakh delegation attending the event aims to sign agreements with top U.K. universities to foster academic and scientific cooperation and create new opportunities for collaboration.
The Bett Show is a premier global event in education that brings together stakeholders from educational institutions, EdTech companies, universities, schools, and developers of educational solutions. With approximately 30,000 attendees from 130 countries participating each year, the event serves as a platform for sharing experiences, showcasing innovations, and discussing global educational trends.
