Kazakhstan to Boost Exports to Qatar in 60 Items Worth $250M

Kazakhstan is poised to increase its exports to Qatar by around 60 types of products worth $250 million, according to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Speaking following a meeting with his Qatari counterpart, Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, on 7 June, Tokayev said the countries had discussed plans to implement joint projects in numerous sectors, including oil and gas, mining and metallurgy, agriculture and medicine. He also called for direct flights between the two nations to intensify business contacts. At present, bilateral cooperation dynamically develops in various sectors, according to Sheikh Tamim.
