Kazakhstan Triumphs Over Kyrgyzstan in 2024 World Nomad Games kokpar Final

The kokpar (zher ulak) team of Kyrgyzstan faced defeat in the final against the team of Kazakhstan at the World Nomad Games in Astana, Kazakhstan. The intense match was broadcasted on UTRK Sport TV channel, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
With a final score of 5:4 in favor of the opponents, the game went into extra time before the winner was determined. Despite their best efforts, the Kyrgyz team had to settle for silver medals.
During the first half of the match, a skirmish erupted after a goal by the Kyrgyz team, causing a delay of over 30 minutes.
In another exciting match for third place, the athletes from Russia secured the bronze medal by defeating Turkey with a score of 8:2.
A total of nine teams participated in the kokpar competitions at the World Nomad Games, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport. The teams from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are now gearing up to face each other once again in the final of the kok boru tournament on September 12.
