
Kazakhstan’s Young Chess Stars Dominate World Championships with Seven Medals

Kazakhstan’s young chess players shine at FIDE World Cadet & Youth Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025
Kazakhstan’s young chess players have made their mark at the FIDE World Cadet & Youth Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025, held on the picturesque island of Rhodes, Greece from April 12-18. The talented players clinched an impressive six gold and one bronze medal at the prestigious event.
The Kazakhstan Chess Federation revealed that a total of 433 young players from 49 countries participated in the championships, competing in six different age categories segregated by gender, for boys and girls aged between 8 to 18 years old. Kazakhstan was proudly represented by 22 participants at the tournament.
After battling it out in 11 rounds played under the Swiss system, Kazakhstan’s rising stars emerged victorious in their respective categories. The world champions from Kazakhstan include Adinur Adilbek (O8), Alisha Bisaliyeva (G8) who notably won all 11 games, Amirzhan Anetov (O10), Aiyaru Altynbek (G14), Yergali Suleimen (O18), and Elnaz Kaliakhmet (G16). Additionally, Zhansaya Sholpanbek secured the bronze medal in her category.
The outstanding performance of Kazakhstan’s young chess players at the FIDE World Cadet & Youth Rapid & Blitz Championships 2025 is a testament to their dedication, talent, and hard work.
