Kia Motors Corporation has announced its plans to build an auto parts plant in Kazakhstan, as stated by Kia President Ho-sung Song during a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on April 23. This decision was reported by the Akorda press service.
According to Song, Kia has already signed an agreement with global suppliers of automotive components to move forward with the construction. In addition, he provided updates on the progress of constructing a full-cycle car production plant in Kostanai, which is scheduled to be completed by 2025.

The facility aims to manufacture 70,000 cars annually, with 50,000 of them being produced using the small-unit assembly method, incorporating a higher percentage of locally sourced parts.

He emphasized that the development of the auto industry is a key focus of Kazakhstan’s industrial policy.
