Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan: Dismissed from Role
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has officially removed Musa Djamanbayev from his position as the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. Djamanbayev had been serving as the Kyrgyz envoy in Tashkent since April 2022, but is no longer in the role following the recent presidential decree.
The specific reason for Djamanbayev’s removal was not disclosed in the official announcement. However, his departure signifies the conclusion of nearly two years of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
It is unclear at this time who will be appointed as the new Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. The relationship between the two countries and the diplomatic efforts in place will likely continue under new leadership in the coming months.
