Large-Scale Drug Bust: 90 Arrested in Narkokapan-Ankara Operation
90 people were arrested in Narkokapan-Ankara operation
According to the Ankara Western Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, a total of 90 suspects were arrested in the “Narcokapan-Ankara operation”.
The operation was carried out as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Ankara, targeting suspects in 4 provinces. The General Directorate of Security Narcotics Crime Department and Ankara Provincial Police Department teams worked together to apprehend the suspects.
Out of the 119 suspects taken into custody, 94 have been arrested by the Criminal Court of Peace, while 4 suspects have been placed under a ban on departure and judicial control.
This crackdown on drug trafficking is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug trade in the region. The authorities are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community by cracking down on criminal activities such as drug trafficking.
