Restaurant Customers Praise Practice of Displaying Prices Clearly
Visiting a restaurant and being surprised by unexpectedly high prices can be a frustrating experience for many people. However, a new practice of displaying prices prominently at the entrance of restaurants is receiving praise from customers.
Berat Denizoğlu, a patron of one such restaurant, commended the practice, saying, “When we enter restaurants, we sit and sometimes look at the menu, the prices do not match and there are times when we go back. When we see these prices at the entrance of the restaurant, we evaluate them if they fit our budget. If it does not fit our budget, we eat elsewhere. I think it is a very good practice, congratulations.”
Another customer, Asya Çakır, also expressed approval of the new practice, stating, “I think it is a really good application. When people look at the menu, what is the price? They know better what they can eat and what they can eat. The issue of inspection is also very good. Because it means that there will be nothing for show. They were also deceiving the tourists in this way. They will not be given that opportunity either. That’s why I think they should be inspected and continue to be inspected.”
Both customers highlighted the importance of transparency in pricing and expressed support for ongoing inspections to ensure that restaurants are not taking advantage of customers, especially tourists. This new practice is not only benefitting customers but also contributing to a more honest and trustworthy dining experience.
