Law enforcement officers arrest over 6.2 thousand suspects in nine months
In Uzbekistan, the fight against crime and the support of vulnerable groups have been at the forefront of government efforts in recent months. According to Hayot Shamsutdinov, the spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office, law enforcement agencies have successfully apprehended 6,255 wanted individuals over the past nine months.
In addition to these efforts, more than 5,000 families have been included in a social protection program designed to provide support to those in need. As part of this initiative, over 189 homes have been renovated, and new houses have been constructed for 61 families. Furthermore, over 3,000 unemployed members of needy families have been provided with job opportunities to help them become financially stable.
To ensure compliance with employment legislation, disciplinary, administrative, and financial accountability measures have been taken against 1,198 individuals. Additionally, 61 criminal cases have been initiated, and the rights of 8,573 individuals have been restored.
Overall, these government initiatives underscore Uzbekistan’s commitment to promoting social welfare and ensuring the rule of law in the country. The progress made in apprehending wanted individuals and providing support to vulnerable groups demonstrates the government’s dedication to creating a safe and equitable society for all its citizens.
