Man caught in armed clash with police in Eskişehir
Baran Y., who shot a night watchman at a construction site in Tepebaşı district, fled the scene and took refuge in a house nearby. He engaged in a gunfight with the police but was eventually caught approximately 500 meters away. During the chase, police fired into the air to try to stop Baran Y. from escaping.
The incident caused panic in the neighborhood, and both Baran Y. and the injured guard were taken to hospitals for treatment. Baran Y.’s mother, who got into a gunfight with the police, suffered a nervous breakdown. Police are currently investigating the situation.
