Memorial Sapling Planted in Tatlısu for Pilot Özcezarlı

A sapling was planted in Tatlısu yesterday in memory of Serkan Özcezarlı, a teacher pilot who tragically lost his life in a training plane crash five years ago.
The event, which saw the participation of Serkan Özcezarlı’s family, colleagues, and Tatlısu Mayor Hayri Orçan, aimed to commemorate the life and legacy of the beloved pilot.
The crash, which occurred near Geçitkale Airport on October 29, 2019, claimed the lives of both Serkan Özcezarlı and his colleague, Hakan Çetinkaya. The incident sent shockwaves through the Air Sports Federation and the wider community.
By planting a sapling in his memory, friends, family, and peers hope to keep Serkan Özcezarlı’s spirit alive and honor his contributions to the aviation community. The gesture serves as a reminder of the importance of cherishing and preserving the memories of those we have lost.
