Service Minibus Accident Leaves 8 Injured in Turkey
A minibus carrying 8 people, including the driver, was involved in an accident in the Çingençeşme location near Karacabey district. The minibus with the plate number 16 S 8627 was en route from Bursa to Balıkesir direction when the tire suddenly exploded, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The minibus somersaulted over a wheat field by the roadside and all 8 passengers were injured in the accident. Yusuf E., the 35-year-old driver, and the injured passengers were immediately taken to Karacabey State, Bursa Uludağ University, and Bursa City Hospitals for medical treatment. Fortunately, none of the passengers’ injuries were life-threatening.
Authorities were notified of the accident and both health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the tire explosion that resulted in the accident.
