Minister Reveals Details of New Housing Campaign
Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum has announced a new social housing campaign that will be launched in all 81 provinces by the end of this year. The Minister has instructed all necessary studies to be conducted and sent to the Ministry in preparation for the project.
“We are taking steps towards providing housing opportunities for our nation. By the end of the year, we will be introducing this campaign to the public, in collaboration with Emlak Konut, to increase mobility in the housing sector,” Minister Kurum stated.
The campaign will offer housing options for low-income citizens, as well as real estate projects with low down payments and attractive investment opportunities for other income groups. The details of the campaign will be announced by the General Directorate of Emlak Konut this week.
Furthermore, the National Real Estate General Directorate will be conducting a study to reduce land costs and ensure that housing prices remain stable. The Ministry aims to bring dormant lands to the market at reduced costs, in order to establish a base for affordable housing.
