Minister Tunç Reiterates Turkey’s Solidarity with Palestine
Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc attends launch of documentary on Shifa Hospital bombing in Gaza
Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc recently attended the Turkey launch of the documentary “Sifa Hospital 14 Days of Atrocity” which shed light on the bombing of Shifa Hospital in Gaza by Israel. Esenler Mayor Tevfik Goksu and the producers of the documentary joined Tunc at the event held at the Lutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Addressing the press before the screening of the documentary, Tunc emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation in Palestine and the massacre at the international court of law. He also took the time to tour the exhibition of photographs that showcased the tragedy in Palestine.
During his speech, Tunc reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for Palestine and its people. He highlighted the efforts of President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in diplomatic initiatives and humanitarian aid. Tunc expressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in the region, lamenting the obstacles posed by the United States in achieving this goal.
Tunc also mentioned the ongoing investigations by the International Criminal Court and the lawsuit initiated by South Africa for violating the Genocide Convention. Turkey has actively participated in these legal proceedings, advocating for justice and accountability for the crimes committed in Palestine.
The Turkish press, Tunc noted, has played a crucial role in raising awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and exposing the crimes against humanity taking place in the region. He commended the press for their important role in shedding light on these tragic events.
