Minister Uraloğlu Announces Record-Breaking Travel Numbers at Turkish Airports
Minister Uraloğlu has revealed the staggering amount of travel made at Turkish airports in the first half of the year, and the figures are nothing short of impressive.
A total of 104,833,309 passengers were served at Turkish airports during the first 6 months of the year, reaffirming that our airports are once again the favorite choice for travelers.
Breaking down the numbers further, it was reported that 46,157,020 passengers traveled on domestic flights, while 58,568,244 passengers opted for international destinations from Turkish airports.
In terms of specific airport statistics, during the 6-month period, 23,891,091 passengers made their way through airports located in popular tourism centers, 19,822,886 passengers passed through Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and a whopping 38,092,629 travelers were welcomed at Istanbul Airport.
