Ministry of Health designs tracking system for COVID-19 situation monitoring.
Kyrgyzstan has developed a new information system, iEPID, aimed at monitoring public health incidents. Developed by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in conjunction with the Center for Electronic Healthcare, the system allows for real-time tracking of infectious diseases, including measles, meningitis, and COVID-19, and provides information on the number of cases and the spread of disease across territories. The system also generates alerts when incidence thresholds for various diseases are exceeded, allowing for quick and effective responses. The implementation of iEPID is part of the target model for the development of digital healthcare in Kyrgyzstan. This new system will help to reduce paperwork and provide accurate assessments of risks in outbreaks, improving public health response measures.
