Miss World Hungary: Andrea Katzenbach Teaches Hungarian to Rivals in India
The Hungarian language is often regarded as one of the most challenging languages globally, both due to its complex grammar and unique vocabulary. Despite this difficulty, Andrea Katzenbach, Miss World Hungary, decided to introduce some Hungarian phrases to her fellow contestants during this year’s Miss World Festival in India. She recently shared a fun TikTok video showcasing the results of this linguistic challenge.
Katzenbach did not elaborate on her motivations for teaching Hungarian to her competitors, but it may have been part of their preparation for the pageant.
In the entertaining video, the contestants attempted to pronounce Hungarian phrases, leading to some amusing results. Here are a few of their attempts:
- "We are bomb women, kids!" translates loosely to "We’re Bomshells, Guys!"
- "We are here today to not be a shaze."
- "Who does not step at the same time does not get a strudel evening," which means "Who Doesn’t Match the Pace will not get strudel for dinner."
- "Hungarians pull this in this too," translating to "The Hungarians will secure this one too."
The 72nd Miss World Festival kicked off on May 7 and will conclude on May 31 in Telangana, India, with the grand finale scheduled for Hyderabad.
