Mongolia Makes History with First IFBB Gold Medal
The IFBB Women’s World Championships took place in Tokyo, Japan, from December 16 to 19, 2024, as part of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness’s global events calendar. The competition featured various categories including Women’s Bodybuilding, Women’s Fitness, Women’s Figure, Women’s Bikini, and Wellness Fitness.
A total of 1,500 international bodybuilders participated in the event, showcasing their incredible skills and dedication. Among the competitors was B.Sugarsuren from Mongolia, who emerged as a standout athlete by winning a gold medal in the competition. She also impressed in the “Wellness Fitness +163 cm” category, where she secured a fourth-place finish.
This historic event marked Mongolia’s first championship victory in its 31-year history as a member country of the IFBB. D.Ariunaa represented her country in the “Master Wellness 35-39” category and achieved a commendable sixth-place finish.
On the men’s side, B.Gerelt-Od earned a silver medal in the IFBB Men’s World Championships in the “Male fit model” category, while N.Khosbayar claimed the silver medal in the “Master men’s physics 40” category. Overall, the competition showcased the incredible talent and determination of athletes from around the world.
