Necati Özsoy Successfully Elected as the 11th President of KTSYD
The Cyprus Turkish Sports Writers Association (KTSYD) held its Ordinary General Assembly on July 8, 2023. The much-anticipated event saw two presidential candidates, Tahir Topaloğlu and Necati Özsoy, vying for the position. In the end, Necati Özsoy emerged as the winner of the election, receiving 40 out of 79 votes.
During the general assembly, chaired by Songuç Kürşad, the Council examined the activity and financial reports. The reports were presented to the members, and after careful consideration, both reports were unanimously approved. The annual report received unanimous approval, while the financial report had one abstention but was still unanimously approved.
Following the speeches of the presidential candidates, the election took place, resulting in Necati Özsoy’s victory with 40 votes. This marked his appointment as the 11th president of KTSYD. The general assembly, attended by 79 out of 81 members, showcased the active participation and engagement within the association.
After his election, Necati Özsoy announced the members of his management team. The new management includes Chairman Necati Özsoy, along with Ali Yoney, Soydan Sakallı, Ahmet Özyaşar, Necati Külahlılar, Hüseyin Köprülü, Ahmet Özsoy, Serkan Soyalan, Ebru Akgür, Hamit Sakallı, and Serhan Kablan. The new team is expected to bring fresh ideas and initiatives to further enhance the activities and growth of KTSYD.
The election of Necati Özsoy as the president of KTSYD signifies a new chapter in the association’s history. With the support of the members and his dedicated management team, it is anticipated that KTSYD will continue to play a crucial role in promoting and advancing sports writing in Cyprus Turkish society.
