Health Minister Dinçyürek Shares Updates on Health System Improvements
In a recent live broadcast on BRT, Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek addressed the public and provided updates on the ongoing efforts to improve the health system in Northern Cyprus.
Dinçyürek highlighted that since assuming his position, the ministry has been dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of the health system and addressing any shortcomings. He specifically mentioned plans to alleviate the burden on Nicosia’s Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital by enhancing the capacity of the upcoming Girne Akçiçek Hospital.
The minister also announced initiatives to expand healthcare services, such as bringing eye surgeries to Famagusta State Hospital, setting up a neonatal intensive care unit, and establishing an angiography and cardiovascular surgery center. Additionally, he emphasized the successful results obtained in Parkinson’s patient surgeries and the ongoing efforts to provide high-quality care to all patients in need.
Dinçyürek further stressed the importance of modernizing healthcare facilities, including the procurement of high-end medical devices and the renovation of medical departments. He also assured that there are no shortages of oncology medicines and that personal supply is allowed when necessary.
The minister concluded by expressing his commitment to ushering in positive changes and transformation in the healthcare sector, aiming to transition to an automation system and provide comprehensive pharmaceutical tracking.
