İDO’s Ship “Marmara” Arrives in Leros with 150 Passengers
İDO’s ship named “Marmara” recently arrived in Leros with 150 passengers after departing from the customs area in Turgutreis District. This marked the first of the voyages planned as morning departures and evening returns three days a week.
Passengers traveling to the island were warmly welcomed with a ceremony attended by municipal officials in Leros. Some passengers were able to pass through the “visa at the door” application, while all guests were treated to various delights and a folk dance show after passport control.
Abdullah Kirazoğlu, İDO’s Purchasing Manager, joined in on the music at the event and even had a short jam session with the singer Fedon, who was also among the passengers.
Throughout their visit to Leros, passengers had the opportunity to explore historical and touristic sites and indulge in a shopping experience at the local bazaar.
In a statement to journalists, Kirazoğlu expressed their commitment to enhancing their mutual experiences with the shores in the Aegean Sea through the newly introduced sailings to Leros. Additionally, İDO plans to organize trips from Turgutreis, two days a week to Kalymnos, and two days a week to Patmos in the near future with the aim of boosting trade and friendly relations.
The involvement of hoteliers and travel agency officials on this trip further underscores the shared goal of developing relationships and increasing trade between the regions. The success of this voyage paves the way for future collaborations and the exchange of experiences and satisfaction in the Aegean Sea.
