Özcan Deniz Vows to Rebuild Despite Destruction – Breaking News in Turkey
Ozcan Deniz, a well-known figure in Istanbul, is currently under investigation for allegedly causing zoning pollution and violating the Cultural Natural Heritage Protection Law. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation into three villas owned by Deniz in the protected area of Sarıyer Uskumruköy.
It has been alleged that the villas were built without proper authorization, with additional closed areas and unauthorized pool constructions. Deniz has been called to testify at the Istanbul Justice Palace Zoning Crimes Investigation Office in Çağlayan.
In a statement made in front of the courthouse, Deniz claimed that he only holds the usufruct right to the properties and was not aware of the illegal construction activities taking place. He mentioned that he will go through legal means to obtain the necessary renovation licenses from the municipality.
Deniz also made a bold statement to the prosecutor’s office, asserting that even if the villas are destroyed, he will set up a tent and stay on the land as it is his legal right and no one can take it away from him.
The investigation into Ozcan Deniz’s properties continues as the authorities look into the alleged violations of zoning regulations and heritage protection laws.
