Panathinaikos, led by Fatih Terim, set to compete in Play-Offs – Breaking Sports Update
OFI Crete and Panathinaikos played out an exciting 2-2 draw in the 26th week of the Greek Super League. The match, held at OFI Thodors Vardinogiannis, saw goals from Jesus Jimenez and Aaron Leya for OFI Crete, and Fotis Ioannidis and Andraz Sporar for Panathinaikos. This result secured Panathinaikos’ 4th place finish in the regular season with 56 points, earning them a spot in the Play-Offs.
With the conclusion of the regular season, the top 6 teams in the Greek League have been determined. PAOK sits at the top with 60 points, followed closely by AEK with 59 points. Olympiakos and Panathinaikos are tied in 3rd place with 56 points each, while Aris and Lamia round out the top 6 with 42 and 34 points respectively.
The Play-Offs will see these 6 teams face off against each other twice in home and away matches, playing a total of 10 additional games. Points earned in the Play-Offs will be combined with those from the regular season to determine the ultimate champion of the Greek League.
