Pesticide Company Owner Faces 15 Years in Prison for Brothers’ Deaths in Bodrum
The legal battle of the Sandık family, who tragically lost two brothers due to pesticide poisoning in Bodrum, has taken a new turn. The indictment revealed shocking details of the events leading to the deaths of the brothers and the negligence of the pesticide company owner, Halil Kahraman.
According to the indictment, Kahraman sprayed the house with pesticides on two separate occasions, leaving behind tablets of pesticide in the bedroom without properly warning the family to stay out of the area. The complainants and their children continued to stay at home, unaware of the dangers of the toxic gases that were released due to improper ventilation and sealing of the bedroom.
Tragically, the two brothers lost their lives due to the poisoning caused by the pesticides. The indictment also highlighted the negligence of the health workers at Bodrum State Hospital, who allegedly failed to provide proper care to the family members when they fell ill after exposure to the toxic fumes.
The father, Alp Sandık, criticized the excessive spraying carried out by the company and pointed out the lack of warning about the potential dangers of the pesticides. Halil Kahraman, the owner of the pest control company, was arrested and charged with causing the death of more than one person due to negligence.
