“Potential Site Fee Reduction: A Look into the Future”
The Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has started a study to investigate personnel expenses, maintenance-repair and material expenses, as well as the burden of 18 percent VAT on external services of housing estates. As a result, the Facility Managers Confederation has requested a reduction in the VAT rates for all companies providing facility management services. The Chairman of the Confederation, Yahya Sağır, stated that every management should have certain rules and regulations to ensure the proper qualification of the company providing the service. Sağır suggests that certifications and training should be required for site management companies to operate properly. These measures are necessary to alleviate the burden on flat owners and to ensure quality and professional services are provided to the community.
