President approves post-graduation benefits for orphans
President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has recently approved amendments to the law “On Social Protection of Children Who Have Lost Their Parents and Are Without Parental Care.” These amendments establish the amount of one-time educational assistance for orphans and children left without parental care in the country.
Under the new regulations, orphans and children without parental care will receive a one-time payment of 2,600 manats upon completing their education in general, vocational, secondary-specialized, or higher education institutions. This payment will be made by the respective educational institution as a one-time grant in the specified amount.
The amendments were finalized during a session of the Milli Majlis on March 7 and have now been approved by President Ilham Aliyev. This move aims to provide additional support and assistance to vulnerable children in Azerbaijan who have lost their parents or are without parental care.
The government’s decision to establish this educational assistance program reflects its commitment to ensuring the well-being and future prospects of children in need across the country.
