Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov has recently met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, to discuss the priority areas of activity and the future development of the organization. They also focused on the growing importance of the OTS in the international arena and the fruitful work of Omuraliev.
Omuraliev briefed the President on the OTS’s activities, the organization’s plans for 2023, and their ongoing work to improve the effectiveness of the Turkic institutions of cooperation. He also highlighted the preparations for the V World Nomad Games to be held in 2024 in Kazakhstan, and the negotiations with other international organizations to develop transport links to promote trade and economic ties between Turkic-speaking states.
