President of Turkmenistan Meets Armenian Ambassador
President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, recently welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Avagyan. The ambassador presented his credentials to President Berdimuhamedov during a meeting on December 13, 2024.
During the meeting, Ambassador Avagyan conveyed warm greetings from the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to President Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people. He also congratulated President Berdimuhamedov on the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status, wishing peace, prosperity, and success for the country.
In return, President Berdimuhamedov extended his best wishes to the leadership of Armenia and congratulated Ambassador Avagyan on his new role. He expressed hope for the further strengthening of Turkmen-Armenian dialogue in various fields, including political, trade-economic, and cultural cooperation.
Both leaders acknowledged the potential for expanding productive ties between Turkmenistan and Armenia in different areas. Priority areas for partnership, such as trade, fuel and energy, and transport and communications projects, were identified during the meeting.
