
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Celebrates Turkmenistan National Day at EXPO 2025

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the celebrations in honor of the National Day of Turkmenistan at EXPO 2025
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan recently took part in the ceremonial events commemorating the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2025 in Japan. The President, during his visit to Japan, joined in the festivities honoring his country at the expo.
Upon arrival, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly greeted by Japanese officials, including the Minister of Japan for World Expo 2025 and other distinguished guests. The President left a memorable entry in the Book of Honorary Guests before proceeding to the official ceremony marking the opening of the National Day of Turkmenistan.
During the ceremony, the national anthems of Turkmenistan and Japan were performed, and the national flags of both countries were raised. Japanese Minister for World Expo 2025, Ito Yoshitaka, extended his congratulations to Turkmenistan on behalf of the Japanese Government and highlighted the significance of celebrating the National Day with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his welcoming speech, expressed gratitude to the organizers for the excellent conditions at the expo and emphasized the importance of global economic relations based on peace, trust, and equality. The President noted the special significance of the World Expo 2025 for Turkmenistan and its potential to establish new partnerships and cooperation opportunities.
Following the official ceremony, the President visited the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan, where he interacted with guests and explored the immersive exhibition hall showcasing the country’s history, culture, and economic development. Turkmen artists presented a colorful performance, adding to the festive atmosphere.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also visited the Japanese exhibition pavilion, where he learned about Japan’s culture, traditions, technological advancements, and future technologies. The head of state commended the achievements of both countries and the successful economic strategies being implemented.
