President Ersin Tatar Welcomes Delegation from Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry
President Ersin Tatar recently met with a delegation from the Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressing his satisfaction with the visit and highlighting the importance of strengthening relations in the modern age of communication.
During the meeting, President Tatar praised the support provided by the Republic of Turkey and its institutions in the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle over the years, citing it as a significant source of inspiration. He also noted the substantial progress made since the 1974 Peace Operation, despite facing isolation, and emphasized the resilience of the Turkish Cypriot people.
President Tatar reaffirmed his commitment to the two-state policy and asserted the Turkish Cypriots’ sovereignty, equivalent to that of the Greek Cypriots. He emphasized the importance of maintaining Turkish soldiers’ presence and Turkey’s guarantorship for stability, peace, and tranquility in the region.
Addressing the economic aspect, President Tatar underscored the need to strengthen the economic structure and expressed hope for increased cooperation and support from the business community.
Metin Demir, Chairman of the Board of Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised President Tatar’s visit to Zonguldak, describing it as a great honor for the Chamber. He emphasized the importance of a sovereign, independent Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean and assured President Tatar of the Turkish business world’s support for the Turkish Cypriots in all matters.
