President Tatar receives TİSAV President Yalçın
President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) recently welcomed Aybüke Yalçın, the President of the Turkic World Economic and Social Research Foundation (TİSAV), along with her delegation.
During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized the significance of the TRNC, as the southernmost Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, and its resilience in the face of the Greek-Greek duo’s outdated isolations. He highlighted that despite the challenges, the TRNC continues to make progress and move forward.
President Tatar also acknowledged the growing influence of Turkey in the new Turkish century, crediting the initiatives of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the TRNC’s observer membership in the Organization of Turkish States. This acknowledgment reflects the strengthening bond between Turkey and the TRNC.
Furthermore, President Tatar expressed his appreciation for TİSAV’s thoughts on the Turkish world and its contributions through scientific publications. He expressed his desire to collaborate on future studies and wished the foundation success in its endeavors.
TİSAV Chairman Aybüke Yalçın expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet with President Tatar and thanked him for his acceptance. Yalçın highlighted that TİSAV’s mission is to conduct economic and social research not only in Turkey but also in the wider Turkish world.
