President Trump Continues Support for Crypto Market with New Decree
President Trump recently took a significant step towards supporting the cryptocurrency market during a signing ceremony held at the White House. In this context, Trump signed a decree to establish a working group for cryptocurrencies.
The newly formed group, known as the “Digital Asset Markets Working Group,” will be tasked with developing a federal regulatory framework for digital assets and evaluating the creation of a strategic national digital asset stock. The decree also instructs institutions to provide suggestions to the working group regarding regulations that impact digital asset markets and may need to be revised or revoked.
Interestingly, the decree also prohibits the development or implementation of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
It is worth noting that during his election campaign, President Trump pledged to make the United States the world’s leading crypto capital and a powerhouse in Bitcoin.
With this latest decree, President Trump continues to show his commitment to supporting and promoting the growth of the cryptocurrency market in the United States.
