Punishment for Anti-Turkey Slogans at Ceremony in Greece

The Greek press reports that the administrative investigation into the Navy students who shouted anti-Turkey slogans at Greece’s March 25 National Day parade has been completed. Some of the individuals responsible for the incident have been sentenced to 20 days of imprisonment, while others will face lighter penalties.
Following the incident, Turkish Foreign Affairs officials expressed their disapproval, stating that such behavior aimed at undermining the relationship between Turkey and Greece is unacceptable. Sources within the Greek armed forces labeled the slogans as “arrogant” and called on Greek authorities to provide an explanation.
The opposition party in Greece, the Radical Left Alliance (Syrıza), also condemned the slogans and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
The incident has sparked tensions between Greece and Turkey, two neighboring countries with a history of strained relations. The Greek government is now under pressure to address the issue and ensure that such provocative actions do not happen again.
