Record participation rate achieved in international arena
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his gratitude to Turkish citizens abroad, whose voting process has been completed in the countries where they live, via social media. President Erdogan thanked his citizens for participating in the democratic process and achieving a record number and rate of participation in these elections.
In his message, President Erdogan invited all Turkish citizens abroad to exercise their democratic rights until the last moment. The voting process at airports and customs gates will continue until May 14. Turkish citizens registered in the electoral register abroad will be able to cast their votes until the closing time of the ballot boxes on May 14.
President Erdogan also expressed his gratitude to all citizens who have expressed their free will to the ballot box despite the efforts to prevent and the attacks of the separatists.
