Roommate Murder: Defendant’s Statement Calls for Surrender in Defense of Gin
A tragic incident took place in Antalya, Turkey, where a man named Ferhat Topçu lost his life after being shot by his friend, HK. The incident occurred in Muratpaşa district, Yeşildere Neighborhood, on 2870/1st Street at 05.30 in the morning.
According to reports, Ferhat Topçu had gone to visit his friend HK a few days prior to the incident. Allegedly, HK, who was under the influence of drugs that night, got into a heated argument with Topçu, accusing him of harassment. The argument escalated, and HK ended up shooting Topçu with a pistol in the house.
Neighbors who heard the commotion called the police and medical teams to the scene. Topçu was rushed to Kepez State Hospital with serious injuries but, unfortunately, he succumbed to his wounds despite the medical intervention.
HK was taken into custody, and the police confiscated the pistol used in the crime. The investigation and legal procedures are currently ongoing at the Murder Bureau.
In his statement to the police, HK claimed that he felt haunted by “jinn” and that he acted in self-defense. He mentioned that he was under the influence of some supernatural force and was not fully aware of his actions.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has withdrawn from the case, prompting the court president to express frustration about the lack of support for seeking justice.
