Sadyr Japarov’s Working Visit in Ashgabat
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov Visits Turkmenistan for International Forum
Bishkek – 15:16, 11 October 2024 – President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov arrived in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan for a working visit, as reported by the 24.kg news agency. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baimyrad Annamamedov welcomed President Japarov at the Ashgabat International Airport.
A carpet was laid out at the airport, and a guard of honor was lined up to greet the President. Children dressed in national costumes presented him with flowers, in a warm welcome.
President Japarov is in Turkmenistan at the invitation of head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participate in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development”. The event is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fragi.
The forum aims to bring together leaders and thinkers to discuss the importance of connecting different eras and civilizations as a foundation for peace and development. President Japarov’s participation highlights Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and dialogue.
This visit to Turkmenistan underscores the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and the shared goals of promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding. President Japarov’s presence at the forum is expected to further strengthen ties and cooperation in the region.
