Search and Rescue Dog Aaron Passes Away in Turkey
A Colombian rescue dog named Aaron, who became a hero in Turkey following the country’s devastating earthquakes, has passed away. Aaron was part of a team of eight specially trained dogs sent to Turkey by the Colombian Red Cross to assist with search and rescue efforts. The Turkish Embassy in Bogota expressed its sadness at the news of the dog’s passing, while Turkey’s Ambassador to Bogota, Beste Pehlivan Sun, praised Aaron’s courage and called him a hero who will never be forgotten. The Colombian Red Cross also paid tribute to Aaron in a post on Twitter, thanking him for his service and saying he will always be remembered.
