As officers approached the man, he allegedly displayed a firearm, prompting the officers to engage in an “armed confrontation” which resulted in the suspect being shot by the Secret Service. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the Secret Service personnel involved in the incident.
It is worth noting that President Trump was not present at the White House during the time of the incident, as he is currently spending the weekend at Mar-a-Lago.
