Seminar on National Unity: Three States, One Nation
The Azerbaijan-Turkey-Northern Cyprus Regional Integration Seminar Series-2: “3 States, One Nation” was held online yesterday, organized by the Eternal Unity Youth Public Union. Speaker of the Parliament Zorlu Töre, Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Northern Cyprus Inter-Parliamentary Relations Friendship Group Cavanşir Feyziyev, and Turkey-Northern Cyprus Inter-Parliamentary Relations Friendship Group Chairman Orhan Erdem were among the speakers at the event.
During the seminar, TRNC-Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey regional cooperation issues were discussed, highlighting the importance of strengthening relations between the involved countries.
Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre emphasized the importance of diplomatic developments achieved through mutual visits between Azerbaijan and TRNC. He also stressed the need for Azerbaijan to form a friendship group with the TRNC parliament to further enhance cooperation.
Orhan Erdem, President of the Turkey-TRNC Parliamentary Friendship Group, discussed the importance of TRNC’s recognition and the ongoing efforts by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev in this regard.
Azerbaijan TRNC Parliamentary Friendship Group President Cavanşir Feyziyev addressed the historical struggles of the Turkish Cypriots and emphasized the need for the independence of Northern Cyprus to be recognized. He also highlighted the importance of strong partnerships among Turkish-speaking countries.
The project aims to develop a tripartite partnership between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as emphasized by Eternal Unity Youth Public Union President Şahin Aliyev and TRNC Representative Serdar Şengül. Overall, the seminar highlighted the importance of cooperation and solidarity among the three states for mutual development and progress.
