President of Turkmenistan Congratulates Oil and Gas Industry Workers on Their Professional Holiday
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a warm message to the hardworking workers of the oil and gas industry and geology of the country on the occasion of their professional holiday celebrated on December 14.
In his message, the President acknowledged the vital role industry specialists play in the development of the country’s economy. He highlighted their remarkable achievements, such as the discovery of new fields and the construction of important gas pipelines like Turkmenistan-China, East-West, and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI). President Berdimuhamedov also emphasized the significance of the completion of the key section of TAPI – Serhetabat-Herat, known as “Arkadagyň Ak ýoly.”
The President underlined that enhancing the export potential of the oil and gas industry and establishing an extensive pipeline system are key priorities of the state’s energy policy. With a focus on strengthening energy security, improving the prosperity of regional countries, and creating a stable economic environment, the government is committed to the industry’s growth.
While emphasizing the importance of environmental protection and adherence to high standards, President Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for sustainable practices to reduce the impact on climate change during oil and gas field development, production, processing, and supply.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed his optimism that Turkmenistan will continue to advance the energy sector by implementing large-scale projects to achieve its strategic goals.
