Shavkat Mirziyoyev explores poverty reduction strategies in Shaykhantakhur district
President Mirziyoyev Visits Shaykhantakhur District to Review Living Conditions and Creative Work
On May 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the local population and ongoing creative work. During the visit, the President visited a vocational guidance center in the “Samarkand darvoza” mahalla, where young people and women are being trained in modern professions related to trade, marketing, finance, and information technology. The graduates of the center will receive assistance in finding high-paying jobs.
The President was also presented with a plan to reduce poverty and ensure employment of the population. To promote the creation of new jobs, entrepreneurs will be motivated to hire unemployed individuals in the 51 mahallas located in the Shaykhantakhur district. The state will provide infrastructure, financial and tax incentives to the entrepreneurs to train the population in the industries and provide jobs. This venture will boost the purchasing power of the population and return investments to the economy.
Additionally, the President discussed proposals for the tourism potential of Shaykhantakhur and urged the governors to study the experience of South Korea, Singapore, and other countries. He also visited the sports and recreation complex, which includes an indoor pool and gym.
