Shocking Job Interview Offer in Istanbul Requires Immediate Action
Istanbul Police Department’s Public Security Branch Directorate teams recently conducted operations targeting prostitution intermediaries and those involved in the crime of providing space for illegal activities. During these operations, a 17-year-old girl, identified as ES, was found to have been lured into prostitution in exchange for money after responding to a job announcement.
Following this discovery, police teams took action and carried out an operation in the Bagcilar neighborhood on July 15th. As a result of the operation, a 46-year-old individual, identified as MA, was arrested and taken into custody.
It was revealed that the suspect had a total of 5 criminal records, including charges related to endangering general security, deprivation of freedom, theft, threats, disruption of peace and tranquility, and intentional injury.
The suspect has since been referred to judicial authorities for further action on charges related to sexual abuse of a child, acting as a prostitution intermediary, and providing space for illegal activities.
These recent developments underscore the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat crimes related to prostitution and human trafficking in Istanbul. Authorities remain vigilant in their pursuit of individuals involved in such activities and are taking decisive action to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in the city.
