Slovenia Names New Ambassador to Uzbekistan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, welcomed the new Ambassador of Slovenia, Daria Bavdazh Kuret, who will be based in Moscow. The meeting between the two diplomats focused on discussing the main priorities of Uzbek-Slovenian cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral contexts. The Uzbek FM expressed his pleasure in receiving credentials from Ambassador Kuret and wished her success in strengthening the significant potential of the growing relationship between the two countries.
Uzbekistan and Slovenia established diplomatic relations on January 16, 1995. Ambassador Daria Bavdazh Kuret, a career diplomat, has taken over the role from Branko Rakovc, who served as the Slovenian Ambassador in Tashkent from 2019 to 2024. The meeting between Minister Saidov and Ambassador Kuret signals a continued commitment to deepening ties and collaboration between Uzbekistan and Slovenia.
