Snowfall in Iğdır and Ağrı’s High Elevations
The recent weather in Ağrı and Ardahan has brought a beautiful transformation to the landscape, as showers turned into snow in the higher elevations.
In Ağrı, a 3,000-meter section of Mount Ararat, reaching up to 5,137 meters in altitude, was covered with snow, creating a stunning white blanket from the summit to its foothills. The mountains surrounding the city were also coated in white, adding to the picturesque winter scenery.
Not far away in Iğdır, snow also fell on the peaks of Pamuk Mountain and Aras Mountains, further enhancing the snowy landscape in the region.
Meanwhile, in Ardahan, the cold and rainy weather of the past week finally gave way to snowfall in the higher areas. With temperatures dropping to zero degrees last night, snow blanketed the mountains at an altitude of 2 thousand meters. The sight of the snow-covered mountains surrounding the Ardahan Plain, usually lush and green in the spring, created a breathtaking scene.
As winter continues to hold its grip on these regions, residents and visitors alike can enjoy the beauty of nature’s transformation under a blanket of snow. It’s a reminder of the changing seasons and the unique charm each one brings to the region.
