Two Men Detained in Bishkek for Suspected Teenager Kidnapping
Law enforcement officers in Bishkek have detained two men on suspicion of kidnapping a teenager, as reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the city.
The incident took place on January 27, around 9:30 p.m., at the intersection of Gagarin and Sulaimanov streets in Dzhal village. Two unknown individuals forced a 17-year-old teenager into a Honda Fit car, took him outside the village, assaulted him, and stole his iPhone 10 before fleeing the scene. The total damage caused amounted to 15,000 soms.
A criminal case has been opened under the article “Kidnapping of a person” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspects, identified as 29-year-old B.S. and 26-year-old K.N., were located and apprehended by law enforcement officers. Following their arrest, the cell phone and Honda Fit vehicle were confiscated. The detainees are currently being held in the temporary detention center of the Main Internal Affairs Department of the capital.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities working to uncover further details surrounding the case.
