Thrilling: International Police Horse Race added to 2024 Hungarian National Gallop
The annual National Gallop, a celebration of Hungary’s rich equestrian heritage, is set to take place in Szilvásvárad on October 4-6. This year’s event will feature a new international race of mounted police officers, along with a variety of other exciting events.
According to the organizers, the three-day National Gallop will showcase a presentation of child riders from the HaZam Riding Stables and a production by the frontier warriors of the Gomor Equestrian Association. The event will kick off with a competition between mounted police officers from eight different countries on the first day.
The highlight of the final day will be the traditional international competition, which will feature riders from the King’s Guard in the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, attendees can look forward to a battle re-enactment from the 1848-49 revolution and freedom fight, a carriage pushing competition, a historical equestrian parade, and more.
