
THY Delegation Reaches Out from Damascus

THY Middle East and Cyprus Sales Vice President Erol Şenol recently visited Damascus with a technical delegation to discuss the start of flights between the city and Turkey. During the visit, Şenol met with the Syrian Civil Aviation Presidency and Syrian Airlines management to evaluate the necessary processes for these flights.
“We had productive meetings and discussions with our counterparts in Damascus. Our technical units also had positive interactions with their counterparts, taking notes and assessing the operations processes of the airport,” Şenol stated. The primary goal of the visit was to strengthen the technical and technological infrastructure of Syrian Airlines.
Furthermore, Şenol mentioned that they are aiming to launch Damascus-Istanbul flights as soon as possible. “We have inspected the airport and are in the process of finalizing the operational details for the flights between Damascus and Istanbul. A clear date for the commencement of these flights will be determined shortly,” he added.
In conclusion, Şenol expressed his gratitude to the Damascus Embassy and its staff for their hospitality and contributions during the visit.
